About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Industrial Engineer to focus on Supply Chain Optimization. This role is crucial for enhancing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of our client's global supply chain operations, serving stakeholders across multiple locations including East London. You will leverage data analytics, process modeling, and Lean principles to identify and implement strategic improvements. - Analyze end-to-end supply chain processes to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reductions.
- Design and implement optimized logistics, warehousing, and transportation strategies.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve flow within the supply chain.
- Develop and utilize advanced analytics and simulation models to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
- Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of supply chain improvements.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance and report on findings.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, with a specific focus on supply chain and logistics optimization.
- Proven experience in applying Lean principles, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision-making to supply chain challenges.
- Proficiency with supply chain management software, ERP systems, and advanced analytical tools.
- Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
