About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and optimize the flow of materials and finished goods within their manufacturing operations, based remotely. This role is essential for ensuring that production processes are supported by a seamless and efficient supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing inventory, and liaising with suppliers and distribution partners to maintain optimal stock levels and timely deliveries.
This is a fully remote position, demanding exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and strong communication abilities to effectively manage a complex network of suppliers and stakeholders from afar. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating supply chain challenges and driving efficiency.
- Coordinate the procurement of raw materials and components, ensuring timely delivery to manufacturing sites.
- Manage inventory levels, forecasting demand, and implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate terms, monitor performance, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Oversee logistics and transportation of goods, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate supply chain records and utilize software systems for tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including production, sales, and finance, to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Coordinator or in a similar logistics/procurement role.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and make informed decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
