About the Role
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Logistics Operations Specialist to join their dynamic team. Working from home, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the flow of goods, coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, and ensuring the efficient execution of logistics strategies across diverse geographical areas. This position requires excellent analytical skills, strong communication capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
You will be instrumental in maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through effective logistics management.
- Oversee and manage daily logistics operations, including shipment planning, carrier selection, and load optimization.
- Track and monitor shipments from origin to destination, proactively identifying and resolving any potential delays or issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, carriers, and customers to provide status updates and address inquiries.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost savings, and service quality.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all logistics activities.
- Assist in developing and implementing new logistics processes and procedures to enhance performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in logistics management software, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for a remote role.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
