About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Buyer specializing in Indirect Spend to join their procurement team on a fully remote basis. This role will focus on sourcing and managing a diverse range of indirect goods and services, including IT, marketing, facilities, and professional services. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, conducting negotiations, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional looking to contribute to a dynamic organization from the comfort of their own home office, driving significant value through strategic indirect procurement.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for various indirect spend categories.
- Lead negotiations for contracts related to IT, marketing, professional services, and other indirect categories.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within indirect procurement.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement , with a focus on indirect spend categories.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and achieve significant cost savings.
- Strong understanding of sourcing best practices and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a remote work environment.
