About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Procurement Manager with expertise in Strategic Sourcing to lead their purchasing initiatives remotely, supporting operations based in Port Elizabeth . This senior role demands a proactive approach to identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers, negotiating complex contracts, and driving cost-optimization strategies across all spend categories. You will leverage your extensive experience to build resilient supply chains and foster strong supplier partnerships, making a significant impact on the company's financial performance and operational excellence, all within a flexible remote work structure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for key categories of spend.
- Lead complex negotiations with national and international suppliers to achieve optimal value.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities.
- Implement category management strategies to ensure cost efficiency and supply assurance.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business units and key stakeholders.
- Manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contracts and quality standards.
- Over 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
- Proven success in leading large-scale procurement projects and complex negotiations.
- Deep understanding of sourcing methodologies and best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline preferred.
