Senior Buyer

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Buyer to lead key procurement activities for their operations in Kimberley . This hybrid role requires an individual with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of market dynamics to secure optimal terms for goods and services. You will manage a portfolio of suppliers, drive cost savings initiatives, and ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials critical to the business.

This position offers a blend of in-office strategic collaboration and remote work flexibility, enabling you to excel in the Northern Cape .

• Lead the sourcing and negotiation process for assigned categories of goods and services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and favorable terms.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, including contract management and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and provide procurement expertise.
• Mentor junior members of the purchasing team and contribute to process improvements.

• 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with a proven track record in strategic sourcing and negotiation.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex supplier relationships and contracts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and financial information.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience working within a hybrid or flexible work environment is advantageous.
