Senior Procurement Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join their supply chain team, supporting operations in and around Richards Bay, Kwa Zulu-Natal . This role is primarily remote, offering flexibility while requiring strong analytical and negotiation skills to manage complex sourcing projects. You will be responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing key supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for critical commodities and services, driving cost reduction and value enhancement.
• Conduct detailed market analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and risks.
• Negotiate complex contracts and service level agreements with key suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Oversee the procurement process, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the procurement team.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic procurement or sourcing .
• Demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations and managing high-value contracts.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain dynamics and risk management.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
