About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a seasoned Strategic Sourcing Manager for a fully remote position. This role is pivotal in developing and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies that align with the company's long-term objectives, focusing on optimizing spend, mitigating risk, and driving supplier innovation. You will be responsible for managing complex categories, leading cross-functional teams, and nurturing strong supplier relationships. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with exceptional negotiation skills and a deep understanding of global supply chains, capable of driving significant value from a remote work setup.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key categories of spend to achieve cost savings, improve quality, and enhance supplier performance.
- Lead complex sourcing events, including RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations with major suppliers.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis, supplier assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Drive supplier innovation and performance improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful sourcing strategies that deliver measurable results.
- Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex market data and financial information.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience working effectively in a remote-first environment.
