About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join their fully remote team, supporting operations near Richards Bay. This role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across multiple locations and systems. You will implement and enforce inventory control procedures, conduct regular audits, and investigate discrepancies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize losses.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of managing their workload effectively in a remote setting and collaborating with warehouse and operations teams to achieve inventory accuracy goals. - Implement and maintain robust inventory control procedures and policies.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and cycle checks to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records promptly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for process improvement.
- Work closely with warehouse staff and management to improve inventory handling practices.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and accuracy metrics for management review.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
