Remote Procurement Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and independent Remote Procurement Officer to join their expanding operations, supporting the Richards Bay region. This role is a key component of our client's remote-first strategy, focusing on efficient and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services critical to their business. You will manage the end-to-end procurement process, build and maintain strong supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with all company policies, all from the comfort of your home office.

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
• Manage the entire procurement process, including requisition, ordering, and delivery tracking.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and budget constraints.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and key performance indicators.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and manage contracts.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with procurement software.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.
