About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Buyer to join their procurement team in Mahikeng. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing a variety of goods and services necessary for the company's operations, focusing on securing competitive pricing and ensuring timely delivery. You will play a key part in managing supplier relationships and optimizing the procurement process to achieve cost efficiencies.

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to ensure quality, price, and delivery requirements are met.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers for goods and services.
• Place purchase orders and manage order fulfillment to ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their specific purchasing needs.
• Monitor market trends and identify potential sourcing risks and opportunities.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a buyer or purchasing role.
• Proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
