About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Buyer to join their procurement team in Klerksdorp. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services essential for the company's operations, ensuring competitive pricing and quality. You will manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and process purchase orders while adhering to company procurement policies. • Source materials and services from approved vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any delivery or quality issues promptly.
• Maintain up-to-date records of purchases, supplier information, and pricing.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their material needs.

• Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar purchasing role.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes, negotiation techniques, and supplier management.
• Proficiency in using purchasing software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Relevant qualifications in supply chain management or business are a plus.
