Procurement Specialist - Indirect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Procurement Specialist specializing in Indirect Spend to join their team in Stellenbosch. You will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and procurement of non-manufacturing goods and services, including IT, marketing, travel, and professional services. The goal is to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure the effective management of vendor relationships, contributing significantly to operational efficiency and budget adherence.

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic sourcing initiatives for non-operational spend.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers of indirect goods and services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and deliver procurement solutions.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure value and mitigate risks.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and ethical sourcing practices.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on indirect procurement.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier contracts.
• Familiarity with procurement tools and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, suited for a hybrid work environment in Stellenbosch.
