Buyer II

Our client is actively seeking a motivated Buyer II to join their remote purchasing team, supporting operations near Randburg . This role is pivotal in managing the acquisition of goods and services, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance. You will execute purchasing strategies, conduct negotiations, and maintain robust supplier relationships. This fully remote position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical and communication skills, adept at navigating the complexities of modern procurement from a distance.

• Execute purchasing strategies for assigned commodities, ensuring supply meets operational demands.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery capabilities.
• Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
• Process purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve delivery and quality issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports on purchasing activities and performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand needs and ensure satisfaction with procured goods/services.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a buyer or purchasing role.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment.
