Remote Sourcing Specialist

Our client is looking for a proactive and analytical Remote Sourcing Specialist to join their dynamic procurement team, supporting operations remotely, including the Klerksdorp region. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and engaging with new and existing suppliers to secure the best possible terms, pricing, and quality for the organization's needs. You will conduct thorough market research, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives.

• Identify and qualify potential new suppliers globally and locally, assessing their capabilities and reliability.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis to understand cost drivers, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Manage and maintain a database of approved suppliers, including performance reviews and risk assessments.
• Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand product/service requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in sourcing , procurement, or strategic category management.
• Proven success in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier performance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and financial information.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, vital for remote interaction.
• Proficiency in sourcing software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
