About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Logistics Planner to join their dynamic supply chain team, supporting operations that may include facilities in Nelspruit . In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the movement of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while managing inventory flow. You will work closely with internal departments and external partners to achieve logistical goals and enhance overall supply chain performance.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organized planner who thrives in a remote work environment and possesses a strong understanding of logistics principles and execution.
- Develop and execute logistics plans for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues that may arise.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking within the logistics management system.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and reduce transportation costs.
- Prepare reports on logistics activities, including delivery performance and cost analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics planning or coordination.
- Strong understanding of transportation modes, carrier management, and supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting.
