Logistics Operations Specialist

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Specialist to join their fully remote team, supporting their significant operations in the Mahikeng region. This role is critical for managing the day-to-day execution of logistics activities, ensuring that goods are moved efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, resolving operational issues, and implementing process improvements.

• Coordinate and manage daily logistics operations, including shipment scheduling and tracking for the Mahikeng area.
• Liaise with transportation providers to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries and to resolve any service issues.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively identify and address potential disruptions or delays.
• Process and manage logistics documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Support the implementation of new logistics technologies and processes.

• Proven experience in a Logistics Operations role, transportation coordination, or similar position.
• Solid understanding of freight management , shipping processes, and supply chain operations.
• Proficiency with logistics software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration.
