About the Role
Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join their team, supporting operations across the Eastern Cape . This role involves analyzing complex supply chain data to identify trends, optimize processes, and reduce costs. You will work closely with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated analyst to leverage their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's supply chain network, with the flexibility of a remote work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to inventory, transportation, and warehousing within the Eastern Cape region.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the supply chain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement supply chain strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
- Forecast demand and inventory needs to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
- Research and recommend new technologies or methodologies to enhance supply chain operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with supply chain optimization techniques and inventory management principles is a plus.
