Our client is actively seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Optimization Engineer for a fully remote position, supporting their operations from Polokwane . This role is critical in analyzing and enhancing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to logistics and distribution. You will leverage industrial engineering principles, data analytics, and advanced modeling techniques to design and implement strategies that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase responsiveness across the supply chain network.

- Analyze the entire supply chain network to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost reduction.
- Develop and implement optimized logistics, inventory management, and distribution strategies.
- Utilize advanced modeling and simulation tools to forecast demand, optimize network design, and assess the impact of proposed changes.
- Collaborate remotely with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations and alignment.
- Design and implement performance metrics to track key supply chain indicators (e.g., lead time, inventory turnover, transportation costs).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles within the supply chain function.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, optimization, or logistics engineering.
- Strong expertise in supply chain modeling , simulation, and optimization software.
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and ERP systems.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage complex projects virtually.
