About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Remote Supply Chain Specialist to manage and optimize their supply chain operations. This is a fully remote position that requires an individual capable of working independently to ensure the seamless flow of goods from sourcing to delivery. You will be responsible for inventory management, logistics coordination, and identifying efficiencies within the supply chain to reduce costs and improve service levels.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of supply chain principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a virtual, fast-paced environment, contributing to robust and resilient global operations.
- Manage inventory levels across multiple locations to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize carrying costs.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement, proposing data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to forecast demand and plan production/procurement accordingly.
- Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics, such as lead times, delivery performance, and costs.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management or a related operational role.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships remotely.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics and international supply chains.
