Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical Remote Logistics Planning Specialist to enhance their transportation network, supporting operations that span across the Paarl region and beyond. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing efficient logistical plans and strategies. This position requires a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, proficiency with planning software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various departments to ensure seamless and cost-effective delivery operations, contributing to the company's strategic goals from a home-based office.
- Develop and refine optimal transportation routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and drivers to ensure smooth execution of logistics plans.
- Manage relationships with carriers and third-party logistics providers where applicable.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions and ensure business continuity.

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or supply chain analysis.
- Proficiency in logistics planning and optimization software (e.g., routing software, TMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
