Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Our client is looking for a proactive Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join their procurement department based in Pretoria . This hybrid role combines essential office-based strategic planning and collaboration with the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute effectively to key sourcing initiatives. You will focus on identifying and developing relationships with high-value suppliers, negotiating complex contracts, and driving cost-saving opportunities across various spend categories.

• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier capabilities.
• Lead sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, and negotiations for strategic categories.
• Develop and implement category strategies to optimize spend and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and key suppliers.
• Monitor contract compliance and supplier performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in strategic sourcing.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management.
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating complex contracts and achieving significant cost savings.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with sourcing software and tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
