Remote Procurement Specialist

Our client is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join their team on a fully remote basis, based out of Cape Town. This role will be pivotal in managing and optimizing the company's sourcing and purchasing activities across various departments. You will leverage your expertise to secure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices while ensuring compliance and fostering strong supplier relationships.

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their qualifications and capabilities.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market dynamics.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition, PO creation, order tracking, and invoice reconciliation.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders remotely to understand needs and provide procurement support.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively address any issues or concerns to maintain service levels and quality.

• A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts and achieving significant cost reductions.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing principles.
• Proficiency with e-procurement platforms and modern inventory management systems.
• Excellent remote communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines in a distributed team setting.
