Logistics Coordinator - FMCG

Our client, a leading entity in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is actively seeking a highly organized and efficient Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize transportation and distribution operations remotely. This crucial role involves overseeing the seamless movement of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely deliveries, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to logistics schedules. You will play a pivotal part in streamlining the supply chain, working collaboratively with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to maintain operational excellence and support the robust growth of our client's extensive product lines across South Africa .

• Coordinate and manage daily logistics operations, including transportation scheduling, route planning, and freight management.
• Liaise with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and warehouse facilities to ensure efficient shipment processing.
• Track shipments, monitor delivery status, and proactively resolve any logistical issues or delays.
• Optimize transportation costs while ensuring timely and reliable delivery of FMCG products .
• Maintain accurate logistics records, including shipping documents, delivery confirmations, and cost data.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, sales, customer service) to align logistics plans with business needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in logistics coordination , preferably within the FMCG industry .
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, freight forwarding, and warehousing operations.
• Proficiency in logistics software, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
