A leading global logistics and freight forwarding organisation is looking to strengthen its Kloten operation with an experienced Sea Freight Operator.

As a Sea Freight Operator, you will manage shipments from start to finish across Import, Export and Cross-Trade, working closely with customers, carriers, overseas offices and logistics partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing sea freight shipments from collection through to final delivery
• Handling customer enquiries and providing proactive updates
• Coordinating with shipping lines, customers, authorities, overseas branches and international partners
• Preparing, checking and maintaining shipping and transport documentation
• Monitoring shipments and ensuring deliveries are completed on time
• Managing claims, damages and any operational issues that arise
• Maintaining accurate shipment files in line with internal procedures
• Supporting continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to improve processes
• Working as part of a collaborative team to deliver a high level of customer service

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within Sea Freight / Ocean Freight
• Completed vocational training in Freight Forwarding and Logistics
• Strong knowledge of Import, Export and/or Cross-Trade operations
• A customer-focused and commercially aware approach
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of quality
• Good spoken and written English
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Experience with Cargo Wise would be advantageous
• A proactive, outgoing personality and the ability to work effectively within a team

• Salary up to CHF 100,000, depending on experience
• 26 days' holiday
