About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Sr.
Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, solving problems, and turning complex information into actionable business recommendations. The Sr. Demand Planner will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, analyzing sales and inventory trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and partnering across the organization to support effective production and supply planning.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office, with two days eligible for remote work.

What You’ll Do

Develop and maintain accurate short- and long-term demand forecasts using historical sales, customer requirements, seasonality, promotions, and business trends.

Analyze demand patterns, forecast accuracy, inventory levels, production requirements, and supply constraints.

Use SAP to analyze material, inventory, production, sales, and planning data.

Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze large datasets and develop forecasting and planning tools.

Identify forecast variances and root causes and recommend corrective actions.

Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations to align demand plans with manufacturing capabilities and business needs.

Monitor changes in customer demand and proactively communicate potential impacts.

Support inventory optimization while balancing customer service, shelf life, production capacity, and working capital.

Track and report key planning metrics, including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, inventory performance, service levels, and demand changes.

Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support decision-making.

Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and/or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.

Support new product launches, promotions, seasonal demand changes, product transitions, and end-of-life planning.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve forecasting, planning processes, reporting, and data quality.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience with SAP in planning, supply chain, manufacturing, inventory, or a related environment.

5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, production planning, forecasting, or a closely related field.

Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to work a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office
.

Preferred Qualifications

Food manufacturing or other manufacturing experience.

Experience with demand planning or forecasting software.

Experience with
Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools.

Experience participating in S&OP or IBP processes.

Experience with food products and planning considerations such as shelf life, seasonality, promotions, and product freshness.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?

The successful candidate will be more than someone who can generate a forecast. We’re looking for a data-driven problem solver who can understand what the numbers are saying and explain why they matter.

You’ll thrive in this position if you enjoy digging into data, challenging assumptions, identifying potential issues before they become operational problems, and communicating clear, actionable recommendations.

If you have strong Demand Planning, SAP, Excel, forecasting, and supply chain experience and are looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply.
