The Obsolescence Specialist provides Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) engineeringandanalysiswithanemphasisonsoftwareapplication-levelobsolescence,includinglogisticsupportanalysis,dependability,maintenance planning,technical documentation,publications,andtrainingforobsolescenceconcerns.

• Supportthedevelopmentandmaintenanceofthe Obsolescence Management Planandrelatedobsolescenceforecastingactivities .
• Contributetothe Obsolescence Management Planforsoftwareapplication -levelobsolescenceconcerns.
• Investigate,collaborativelydefine,anddevelopacentralizedlistofhigh-levelsoftwaredependenciesforaprioritizedlistof

  System Breakdown Structure (SBS).High-levelsoftwaredependenciesmayinclude,butarenotlimitedto,versions of
  
  Javasupported,versions of
  
  Operating
  
  Software(OS) supported,andanyadditionalmajordependenciesidentifiedinthesoftwareobsolescenceroadmap.
• Trackobsolescenceinformation,whichmayinclude,butisnotlimitedto,softwareapplicationversionup-revcycles,softwareapplicationpatchingcycles,upcomingchangestolicensingmodels,andobsolescencewaivers.
• Maintaintraceabilitybetweentheobsolescencereportandtheapproved Configuration Item .
• Researchandtracksoftwareobsolescenceriskforassigned Configuration Items (CIs),including end-of-lifeandend-of-supporttimelines.
• Identifyemergingobsolencetrendsandescalatehigh-priorityobsolescenceriskstothe
  
  Obsolescence Working Group .
• Maintaintraceabilityanddocumentationacrossobsolescenceriskassessmentsandmitigationartifacts.
• Support Configuration and Data Managementaudits ,ensuringobsolescencedataremainsaccurateandcurrent.
• Maintainandcontributetoobsolescencetrackingartifactsandsupport Obsolescence Working Groupactivitieswithinthe Collaborative Work Environment (CWE),ensuringcompliancewithstakeholder-definedformatting,documentation,andreportingrequirements.
• Participateinobsolescenceriskreviewmeetingsandprovideinputonassigned
• Supporttheimplementationandtrackingofapprovedobsolescencemitigationandwaiveractions.
• Prepareandupdateobsolescencestatusreportsandclient-facingdocumentationasrequired.
• Attend monthly Obsolescence Meetingsandcontributetocontinuousimprovementofobsolescenceprocesses .
• Apply Integrated Logistic Support Analysismethodstohelpidentify ,assess,andmitigateobsolescenceissuesacrossthesystemlifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies,suchassprintplanning,refinement,and reviews,tosupportobsolescencetrackingwithintheprogramschedule.
• Performotherobsolescence-relateddutiesasassigned.

• MustpossessanactiveSECRETsecurityclearance.
• Mustbeeligibletobevettedaspartofthe Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
• Diplomaorbachelor’sdegreein

  Engineering,Computer Science,Information Technology,orarelatedfield,ordemonstratedexperienceperforming
  
  Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) activities.
• Proficiency in Exceldatamanagement.
• Detail-oriented,withstrongsystemsthinking.
• In-depthknowledgeofapplicationlicensingmethods.
• Expertiseinversioncontrolandchangemanagement.
• Abilitytoworkwithandmaintainlegacysystems.
• Experiencemanagingrelationshipswithsoftwarevendors.
• Knowledgeininfrastructuresoftwareframeworksandtheirdeployment(Java,.NET,virtualization technologies).
• Strongcomputerliteracywithprovenexperiencewith Microsoft Office products ;
