Junior Buyer

Our client, a growing enterprise in Paarl , is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Buyer to join their procurement team. This role provides an excellent foundation for an individual passionate about supply chain and purchasing. You will assist senior buyers in sourcing materials, processing orders, and managing supplier communications, contributing to the efficient flow of goods. • Assist senior buyers with sourcing activities and supplier research.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, inquiries, and potential issues.
• Support the team in bid analysis and vendor selection processes.
• Help manage inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff.

• Previous experience in an administrative or assistant role, with some exposure to purchasing or procurement .
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data management.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn about the procurement field.
• A relevant diploma or bachelor's degree is preferred.
