Logistics Planner - FMCG

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join their team, supporting their FMCG operations based remotely but with occasional requirements to liaise with the Paarl facility. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods across the supply chain. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing transportation routes and schedules, managing carrier relationships, and resolving logistical challenges.

• Plan and schedule transportation routes and activities to optimize delivery times and costs.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any potential delays or disruptions.
• Manage carrier performance and negotiate favorable rates and terms.
• Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities and generate performance reports.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the FMCG logistics network.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics planning or transportation management, preferably in the FMCG sector .
• Proficiency with logistics planning software and transportation management systems (TMS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively, with some connection to the Paarl operations.
