Junior Buyer

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Buyer to join their procurement team based in Richards Bay . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in purchasing and supply chain management. You will support the senior buyers in sourcing materials, processing purchase orders, and managing supplier communications. This role involves a hybrid work arrangement, combining essential in-office duties with the flexibility of remote work.

You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of procurement, contributing to the efficiency of the company's supply chain and learning from experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

• Assist in sourcing and identifying potential suppliers for various goods and services.
• Process purchase requisitions and accurately generate purchase orders .
• Communicate with suppliers to track orders, confirm deliveries, and resolve basic inquiries.
• Maintain organized records of purchases, supplier information, and pricing data.
• Support the senior buying team with data analysis and market research .
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.

• Matric certificate, with preference given to those pursuing or holding a qualification in Supply Chain or Business Management.
• 0-2 years of experience in a purchasing, administrative, or customer service role.
• Familiarity with basic procurement principles is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
