Director of Production, Handbags

This is a full-time role to be our Director of Production. This pivotal role is for someone who will manage and oversee production operations for our entire handbag business.

Responsibilities include production planning, scheduling, supplier coordination, quality assurance, and ensuring timely delivery. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams such as design, merchandising, and logistics to meet operational goals.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Midtown, New York with flexibility for full-time remote work.

• Communicate daily with all vendors/suppliers regarding updates in all phases of the production process.
• Communicate daily with design and sales and marketing/ecomm team to maintain calendar dates and deliveries.
• Manage & negotiate pricing with suppliers
• Set-up Items/UPC’s & issuing purchase orders.
• Order and track market materials/samples/PR samples.
• Organize, track, and request proto, TOP, and showroom samples within excel charts to retain updated sample status.
• Maintain Blue Cherry system with order/delivery changes and updates.
• Communicate UPC and HTS info to the factories.
• Approve bookings and documentation for vessel and air shipments.
• Run monthly production status meeting with cross-functional teams.

• At least 7+ years production experience in accessories , footwear, or apparel.
• Excellent analytical skills, communication and follow-up skills are a must.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Proficiency & experience with AI
• Strong Interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Be organized with the ability to work independently and prioritize under shifting deadlines.
• Must be extremely resourceful that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Blue Cherry is a plus.
