Remote Purchasing Officer

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Remote Purchasing Officer to join their procurement team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in South Africa . You will be responsible for managing the procurement process for a range of goods and services, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of purchasing principles, who can thrive in a virtual environment and contribute to optimizing the company's supply chain.

• Manage the full cycle of procurement, from requisitioning to order placement and delivery tracking.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality and service standards.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible value for the organization.
• Process purchase orders accurately and maintain comprehensive records of all procurement transactions.
• Monitor market conditions and supplier performance, proactively addressing any issues or opportunities.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand their needs and provide timely procurement support.

• Proven experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role.
