Coordinate high-stakes event freight remotely across Canada, using customs expertise and precise documentation to keep international shipments moving. Preference is given near Toronto or Montreal.
This independent contractor role supports entertainment, arts, sports, and live events as a seasoned Logistics Coordinator. Manage domestic and international freight across LTL, FTL, air, and ocean modes. Serve high-profile clients while balancing deadlines, customs requirements, and multiple active projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage freight from planning through final delivery
- Coordinate time-sensitive shipments for global events
- Liaise with clients, provide updates, and solve challenges
- Negotiate with carriers and align shipments with customs regulations
- Prepare documentation, manage billing, and organize project files
- Five or more years in freight forwarding
- Experience with Canadian and United States customs clearance
- Ability to manage high-pressure timelines and high-stakes clients
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and documentation management skills
