Freight, Transportation & Logistics, Dispatcher
My client is an established, asset-based transportation and logistics provider with a specialist freight brokerage division, looking to appoint an experienced Carrier Sales Representative to support the continued growth of its bulk transportation business. This is a fully remote position focused on specialist carrier procurement, with particular emphasis on food-grade dry bulk, hopper and pneumatic transportation.
Unlike a traditional carrier sales position focused predominantly on dry van or general truckload freight, this opportunity requires someone who understands the specific equipment, carrier networks, operational requirements and service expectations associated with bulk transportation.
My client has an established presence within specialist transportation markets, combining its own operational infrastructure with a substantial network of third-party carriers.
The business is particularly interested in speaking with individuals who already have relationships with food-grade hopper and dry bulk carriers and understand the challenges associated with securing reliable capacity within this specialist market.
With a base salary of $60,000 - $110,000, this is an opportunity for an experienced bulk transportation professional to focus on a specialist area of freight brokerage while working remotely from anywhere in the United States.
The RoleAs a Carrier Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for sourcing, developing and managing carrier relationships across the bulk transportation market.
The primary focus will be food-grade dry bulk and hopper transportation, although experience across other specialist bulk modes will also be highly relevant.
You'll work closely with carriers operating pneumatic tankers, dry bulk trailers, hopper equipment and other specialist transportation assets to secure dependable capacity for customer freight.
This position requires a deeper understanding of carrier capabilities than a general freight brokerage role.
You'll need to understand equipment suitability, commodity requirements, cleaning standards, loading and unloading processes, carrier compliance and the operational considerations associated with moving food-grade products.
You'll also be responsible for negotiating competitive carrier rates, coordinating transportation requirements and ensuring freight is executed safely, efficiently and profitably.

Contribute to the continued development of the company's specialist bulk carrier network
My client is particularly interested in candidates with established experience within specialist bulk transportation rather than general freight brokerage alone.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Previous experience within carrier sales, freight brokerage, bulk transportation or specialist logistics operations
