Minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in planning and managing large‑scale, multi‑million dollar construction projects required. - D:
Special Qualifications
:
Must possess proven track record of successful management of multi‑million dollar healthcare construction projects. Strong familiarity with Standard Agreement templates as published by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) covering all facets of capital project management preferred. Outstanding leadership ability, capable of engaging and motivating a team with a broad range of experiences and backgrounds to accomplish project objectives. Highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, as well as excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Essential Functions
- Ensures that Associates are knowledgeable of current compliance policies, laws and regulatory developments and report deviations through appropriate mechanisms.
- Ensures completion of compliance orientation and arranges for ongoing risk training.
- Provides assistance in monitoring compliance and submits reports of suspected non‑compliance to the Compliance Officer.
- Responds to detected offenses, assists in investigations, and implements disciplinary/corrective actions.
- Follows the Corporate Compliance Code of Conduct.
- Facilitates and oversees competitive selection and contract negotiation for all owner‑contracted consultants.
- Monitors contract compliance with owner‑contracted firms and completes final contract reviews.
- Monitors schedule adherence including, but not limited to:
- Design
- Construction phases
- Equipment and technology planning/purchase
- Vendor bidding and selection
- Regulatory reviews/approvals
- Internal and Home Office reviews/approvals
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Equipment and technology installation
- Training, move‑in, occupancy
- Preparation and regular update of a comprehensive issue list
- Early issue identification and resolution facilitation
- Change order management process oversight
- Evaluation and approval of value engineering/cost‑reduction items
- Challenge project team on all key assumptions and decisions affecting quality, efficiency, safety, and cost
- Contingency approval process oversight
- Alignment of budget and schedule with the Integrated Strategic, Financial and Capital (ISFC) Plan and annual capital budget capacity
- Reporting to the Executive Steering Committee and to the Trinity Health Capital Project Management department
- Coordination with Accounts Payable and Accounting for invoice payment and project cost accounting
- Coordination with Home Office Risk Management for an Owner Controlled Insurance Program
- Assist Organizational Integrity and Audit Services with policy compliance monitoring
- Coordinate equipment evaluation/purchase with Supply Chain Management
- Secure user‑group input for design development
- Serve as interface between the Project Team and Trinity Information Services during design and construction
- Review punch list and coordinate project close‑out with Director of Facilities, business owners, and finance
- Ensure timely communication and engagement with affected departments to minimize operational impact of construction activity, including safety procedures for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
