Accounting Manager

Humann is growing, and looking to an Accounting Manager to join our world‑class accounting team in Southwest Austin.

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the company’s financial statements in accordance with the US GAAP and local GAAP standards
• Prepare and review month‑end journals and associated reconciliations by working with different areas of the business to ensure all transactions are accounted for in the correct period, including working with Supply Chain to resolve inventory quantity and landed cost discrepancies
• Prepare flux and variance explanations as part of the monthly close process for all areas assigned
• Stay up to date on changes and activities within the Company to ensure the Company’s financial statements properly reflect any new developments
• Build, document and drive process improvements, including managing the Month End Close Checklist and working with Operations to ensure timely receipt of information needed for month end close
• Provide support for other ad‑hoc analyses and projects as needed
• Maintain oversight of compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes and regulations
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting internal control procedures
• Study financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources, procedures, and technology
• Lead, mentor and develop the growing team of staff accountants and clerks both in the US and offshore, including workload distribution and coaching feedback

• 5+ years in accounting experience
• Inventory, omni‑channel CPG experience (preferred)
• Excel & Net Suite experience
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA a plus
• Thorough knowledge of accounting processes and procedures & GAAP
• Demonstrated ability to work in an organized manner, prioritizing projects and managing time & communication efficiently and effectively
• Experience supervising at least 1 other person, directing activities and providing constructive feedback
• Experience with Ramp accounts payable application a plus
