SummaryActs as primary customer contact for development projects and leads the development team to meet design requirements, program budget, and customer satisfaction. May manage multiple simultaneous programs and lead design and transition activities across multiple sites.
Responsibilities- Manages and leads development team activities as the primary day‑to‑day contact for small to mid‑size customers with stable, relatively simple products.
- Interacts with customers on schedule, quality, cost, and engineering change to achieve highest levels of satisfaction and responsiveness.
- Generates Statement of Work, including project schedule, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements, soliciting input as necessary.
- Prepares bids or proposals, communicating them effectively to customers and ensuring market competitiveness and profitability.
- Leads internal development team to ensure on‑time delivery, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Develops and maintains project plan compliance, including schedule, resource, and financial aspects.
- Identifies and manages change in customer requirements, design requirements, and internal resources.
- Co‑ordinates program deliverables with internal new product and manufacturing organizations.
- Analyzes and manages program financial performance to meet company objectives.
- Updates project management tools weekly to aid in planning and financial prediction.
- Responds to new opportunities within existing and new customers to achieve objectives.
- Assists other development team members to meet customer and business unit objectives, escalating issues as needed.
- Supports manufacturing groups to understand production requirements.
- Promotes Design for Excellence (DFX) philosophy with customers and internal teams.
- Participates in continuous improvement activities with complete documentation and follow‑up review.
- Manages individuals assigned to program, directs necessary changes, and enhances team capacity to deliver results.
- Provides reports and metrics to senior management and demonstrates expert risk‑management skills.
- Articulates a compelling vision and strategy that motivates others to action.
- MS in Engineering or Science (EE or ME) or equivalent experience preferred.
- 6‑12 years of program management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal and multitasking skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with diverse groups.
- Strong customer service and client focus.
- Proficient in productivity tools, including Microsoft Office and project management applications.
- Effective negotiation, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Leadership and people‑management skills, including coaching and mentoring.
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools and project management processes.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
- MS in Engineering or Science (EE or ME) or equivalent experience preferred.

Compensation$ to $ USD.
