Job Overview
Vice President of Trade Relations at True Rx Health Strategists, 100% remote with occasional in‑office requirements for training and meetings. Lead the strategic direction, performance, and evolution of our pharmaceutical manufacturer and rebate programs, balancing clinical outcomes and financial performance to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective pharmacy benefit solutions.
What You’ll Do- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute long‑term trade relations strategies to optimize manufacturer partnerships and rebate performance.
- Anticipate industry trends, emerging therapies, and legislative changes impacting drug pricing and contracting.
- Represent True Rx in high‑level negotiations to achieve favorable terms and maintain compliance.
- Trade Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary executive contact for pharmaceutical manufacturers, rebate aggregators, and trade partners.
- Cultivate strong relationships that foster innovation and long‑term collaboration.
- Oversee contract negotiations ensuring alignment with compliance and strategic objectives.
- Rebate Strategy & Performance
- Lead rebate program performance, vendor relationships, and contract compliance.
- Evaluate and execute new rebate and formulary opportunities to improve clinical and financial outcomes.
- Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Clinical, Finance, and Client Services to operationalize strategies.
- Partner with Sales and Account Management to provide trade insights for RFPs and client renewals.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and develop the Trade Relations team to foster a high‑performing, collaborative culture.
- Promote innovation and professional growth within the team.
- Analysis & Reporting
- Oversee dashboards, forecasting models, and analytics to measure strategy effectiveness.
- Present key findings and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, healthcare administration, business management, or related field required.
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or Pharm
D) strongly preferred.
- Experience
- 5+ years in trade relations, pharmaceutical contracting, or rebate management within PBM or healthcare.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and external partnerships.
- Strong understanding of PBM operations, formulary management, and rebate aggregator models.
- Proven success negotiating manufacturer agreements and driving measurable business outcomes.
