Job Summary

As General Manager, Management Consulting, you will be responsible for building and scaling a new, high‑impact business line. This senior leadership role requires a rare combination of strategic vision, commercial acumen, and hands‑on execution. You will be accountable for defining and executing the overall Management Consulting strategy, leading the effort to identify market opportunities, define a compelling value proposition, and build the operational foundation needed to launch and grow a high‑performing Management Consulting offering from the ground up.

In this role, you will navigate a fast‑paced, matrixed organization while ensuring executive alignment, securing stakeholder buy‑in, and rallying cross‑functional teams around shared goals. Your ability to clearly communicate your vision, define a go‑to‑market strategy, and lead through ambiguity will be critical to building momentum and achieving lasting impact.

Hands‑on leadership will be required to shape client solutions, engage with new and existing clients, and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Talent Operations, and Delivery to ensure the offering is scalable, profitable, and aligned with client needs.

The ideal candidate brings deep consulting expertise, a proven track record of launching or scaling services, and the humility to lead by doing. Responsibilities

Critical responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the success of the business, measured by revenue growth, pipeline health, and gross margin.
  • Managing the business P&L and optimizing supply and demand while balancing top‑line growth and operational efficiency.
  • Developing and evaluating market and industry opportunities and identifying those with highest potential.
  • Building and testing new offerings with clients using agile approaches to achieve product‑market fit.
  • Leading the creation of an execution plan with Marketing and Talent Operations to secure the right talent and solutions.
  • Working cross‑functionally with Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Sales while building trusted relationships with clients.
  • Establishing robust analytics and feedback loops to continuously refine strategy.
Qualifications and

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required;
    Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience driving and managing a business with strong operational understanding.
  • 3+ years of P&L ownership managing a business.
  • Deep connections within the HLS industry and an active network of relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience in professional services driving growth.
  • Success in building and launching a new business or product from scratch.
  • Experience at a technology or hyper‑growth company is strongly preferred.
  • Management consulting experience at a top‑tier firm (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG) is a plus.
  • Leadership experience delivering results in a fast‑paced, multi‑function environment.
  • Proven relationship development and credibility across all organizational levels.
  • Experience with marketing technology and automation, including CRMs.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven success in ambiguous, sophisticated projects.
  • Commercial acumen guiding priorities and decisions.
  • Advanced command of P&L and financial metrics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and detail‑oriented; hyper‑organized and efficient.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and building consensus.
