** over the next ten years. This role is responsible for ensuring DSST’s financial resources are aligned to student outcomes, long-term sustainability, and organizational priorities.

You will serve as a key link between School Directors, Home Office leaders, and the Accounting and Human Capital teams, partnering closely with senior leaders, members of the DSST Board of Directors, and external stakeholders. The Senior Manager of Finance
** leads the network-wide budgeting and forecasting process**, oversees the Finance Manager, and serves as a strategic advisor to organizational leaders—helping translate complex financial data into clear, strategic decisions that strengthen results across the network. This role owns key financial planning processes and plays a central role in advising leaders on tradeoffs, risks, and priorities.
* ** Lead the full financial planning cycle, including annual budgets, mid-year forecasts, long-term projections, and the tools that support them
*** Work with district partners to update assumptions for upcoming year
* Meet with and advise budget owners on how to optimize their funds to improve student outcomes and school culture
* Oversee budgets for restricted revenue to ensure we are maximizing our governmental funding
* Oversee creation of additional budgeting tools to support decision making
* Develop & propose new policies to support financial decision making
* Own professional development and coaching for a finance manager role
* Guide project work and assist with partnership across business lanes

* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (Finance, Accounting, or Management preferred)
* ** 3+ years of experience managing budgets across multiple locations, departments, or cost centers**
* ** Experience coaching, managing, or mentoring others to outcomes
*** Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate across business functions
* ** Strong financial analysis and modeling skills; high proficiency with Excel
*** A desire to drive system-level improvements and support organizational sustainability
* Experience presenting financial information or recommendations to senior leaders or boards

Experience with
** Workday Financials and reporting
** Experience with
** Adaptive Insights
** or similar budgeting tools

Experience in
** education, nonprofit, public sector, or other mission-driven organizations
