Overview

UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) seeks a Program Manager to lead large-scale ERP implementations and organizational change initiatives within the Information Technology Services (ITS) organization. The role requires advanced project management expertise, risk and quality oversight, and strong stakeholder communication.

The Program Manager will manage concurrent enterprise projects, develop schedules, metrics, and vendor relations, drive program governance, and execute organizational change management (OCM) strategies for business transformation. Key duties include:

• Develop and execute program plans, schedules, metrics, and status reporting.
• Lead vendor and contractor management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Execute OCM strategy, build stakeholder engagement plans, and deliver communications and training activities.
• Collaborate with Program Management Office for integration of related systems.
• Provide decisions, escalation, and governance alignment with stakeholders.

• 10+ years of progressive management experience in complex human resources or enterprise environment.
• 10+ years experience in higher education, public sector, or comparable organization.
• Advanced knowledge of project management concepts, standards, and processes.
• Project management experience with large initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
• Strong skills in planning, tracking, controlling, risks/issues, scope, quality, integration, time management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, deliverable variance, and contingency planning.
• Excellent written communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.

• Satisfactory criminal history background check.
