Job Summary
The Director Health Systems Sales will lead a Sales Manager and a team of Account Managers and Business Development Managers to develop and grow sales opportunities within hospitals and Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs). This role, elevated from the existing Senior Manager position, focuses on expanding Evernorth Health Services’ (HSS) Health System Offering, driving innovation, and accelerating revenue growth across this critical customer segment.
The ideal candidate combines strategic vision, operational execution, and relationship management to lead our efforts in the hospital and health‑system space.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies targeting hospitals and IDNs.
- Identify emerging market trends and translate insights into actionable growth initiatives.
- Lead cross‑functional strategic planning efforts to align sales goals with broader Evernorth HSS objectives.
- Monitor competitive activity in key accounts and ensure appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated.
- Compile reports on customer retention, business opportunity, and market trends for senior management.
- Set goals, expectations, and develop future strategies to maintain and enhance the quality of support the team provides.
- Partner across Evernorth, Carepath, Verity, Shields, Finance, Business Development, and Operations to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert and liaison for all cross‑functional needs.
- Manage day‑to‑day activities of a sales team, including hiring, performance monitoring, mentoring, and recognition.
- Lead execution of team and cross‑functional projects, ensuring on‑time delivery.
- Develop policies and procedures to improve processes and ensure focus on products relevant to the market.
- Support Sales Directors and Strategic Relationship Directors on bid evaluation, GPO collaboration, RFPs, contracting, and client issue resolution.
- Communicate with sales reps and prospects to drive business and maintain accurate data in Salesforce.
- Create and conduct training materials, new‑hire training, and ongoing training sessions.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 5+ years of experience with a Master’s degree; 11‑14 years preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office and database management.
- Knowledge of the Strategic Sales segment and the PBM/ Specialty Pharmacy/ healthcare product suite.
- Awareness of market influences, competitive standings, pricing approaches, and sales techniques.
- Ability to drive collaborative efforts within Curascript and the broader Cigna umbrella.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, team‑building, project‑management, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
CuraScript SD provides integrated delivery solutions for the safe and efficient distribution of specialty pharmaceuticals and associated medical supplies. With >25 years of experience, the company supplies biologics, branded drugs, generics, vaccines, infused medications, and ancillary supportive care products for physicians, infusion centers, acute care treatment centers, and long‑term care facilities.
This hybrid role requires in‑person work; preferred locations include Lake Mary/Orlando, FL;
St. Louis, MO;
Plano/Dallas, TX; or Chicago, IL. Remote work is possible with a minimum of 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload cable broadband or fiber optic connection.
Salary range: $153,600 – $256,000 USD annually, depending on experience and geographic location. Eligibility for annual bonus and long‑term incentive plans.
