Summary – The Preconstruction Manager supports HQC US’s commercial and execution teams with E&C related tasks. Duties include reviewing contracts for revisions to commercial terms, compiling final forms of contracts and exhibits, tracking document revisions, coordinating internal review processes, and managing document management tasks for E&C and related agreements. This remote position requires up to 25% travel and working hours Monday through Friday 8:00‑5:00 a.m. or 9:00‑6:00 p.m. Local time.

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
- Regular attendance in accordance with company policy is essential.
- Support the pre‑construction team by assisting legal on all issues during drafting, negotiating, and managing full wrap engineering, procurement, and construction contracts.
- Review, interpret, and assist with negotiations of contract documents to determine contractual obligations, including governmental regulations, company contracting guidelines, and other contracting requirements with necessary stakeholders.
- Ensure contract compliance by developing compliance trackers for delivery to the execution teams.
- Drive contract execution process by managing internal and external workflows, facilitating meetings, updating progress, and providing efficiency to the process.
- Compile contracts, track document and exhibit revisions, and perform related document management tasks.
- Coordinate with legal and E&C commercial teams to ensure all comments are reflected in the latest document revisions.
- Review contracts for accuracy and assist with establishing internal processes for the management of contracts between the Legal and the E&C teams.
- Assist with updating contract templates and perform other duties as assigned by VP of Construction, Director of Preconstruction, Project Managers, or other senior management personnel.
- Travel up to 20% as needed and perform special projects as assigned by Management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant certificate from college or technical school.
- 3+ years relevant experience (construction and energy industry preferred).
- Background in commercial construction, equipment supply, and/or engineering.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer fluency, and effective negotiation skills.
- Work experience in construction‑related contracts (solar PV and BESS projects specifically) strongly preferred.
- Self‑motivated, superior organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and Procore.

- Stationary position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day.

- Carry weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Hearing and speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis.
- Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer and office documents.
- Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on a stairway to get to office upper and lower floors.
- Travel: up to 25% as needed.
