Emergency Spill Response Project Manager - Full Time, Remote (Barrie, Ontario)

Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP is a niche forensic engineering, environmental science, and remediation consulting firm that serves insurance and risk‑management clients across Canada.

We are looking for an Emergency Spill Response Project Manager to join our remediation and emergency response team in Barrie, Ontario. The successful candidate will manage projects related to transportation, residential fuel oil, and commercial chemical spills, ensuring effective mitigation, remediation, and client file closure in a cost‑effective and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct emergency response activities including initial investigation, real‑time remedial planning, and field supervision.
  • Manage sub‑contractors, cost control, and documentation throughout the remediation process.
  • Prepare client and regulatory reports and liaise with regulators and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in business development activities and client engagement.
  • Lead projects involving transportation losses (diesel fuel) and domestic/commercial fuel oil releases.
  • Make decisions in the field with support from head office, maintaining energy and orientation toward results.
  • Travel as required; work may include evenings and weekends for which compensation is provided.
Requirements
  • Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geosciences, or a related discipline (or equivalent college diploma).
  • Minimum five years of experience in the environmental field with at least two years of project management experience.
  • Experience in soil and groundwater remediation, including delineation, monitoring, and management.
  • Strong invoicing, budgeting, and overall project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
  • Flexible schedule, including willingness to work after hours and on weekends when needed.
