We are seeking a contracts professional to join the Close‑In Weapons System (CIWS) program within Ship Systems Integration and Sustainment (SSIS) portfolio at RTX (formerly Raytheon). The role is a non‑supervisory, experienced individual contributor position with oversight of the CWIS Sustainment portfolio, supporting systems and repair and spare items for the MK‑15 CIWS for US Navy customers such as NAVSUP and DLA.
Whatyou will do
- Analyze Requests for Quote (RFQ), develop proposals, conduct proposal reviews and coordination, negotiate contracts, and perform general contract administration.
- Collaborate with Contracts Lead, Program Directors, Senior Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Proposal Manager, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals.
- Support program management and executive reviews.
- Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives, and comply with company policies.
- Guide stakeholders on contractual and business issues, advising them of contractual rights and obligations and potential mitigation of contractual/program risks.
- Examine cost structure estimates of labor, material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they arise.
- Develop and maintain relationships as the focal point of contact with customers’ Contract Managers, DCAA, and DCMA.
- Shape stakeholder opinions and negotiate to create the best outcomes possible.
- University degree and minimum 5 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years relevant experience.
- Experience negotiating and administering contracts and/or subcontracts.
- Experience with U.S. Government contracts under FAR, DFARS and related regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with all levels of internal and external customers; strong analytical and interpersonal skills; adaptability to various business situations.
- Experience in competitive domestic and international programs/acquisitions (Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales).
- Familiarity with intellectual property, license agreements, teaming agreements, and export/import controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- MBA, advanced degree (Master’s or J.D.) or industry certifications (NCMA, IACCM).

SalaryEstimated salary range: $82,000 - $164,000 USD.
