Remote Work Policy: Individuals residing within a 50‑mile radius of a branch may be required to work on‑site in a hybrid capacity as needed. A dedicated, distraction‑free workspace is required for remote work. Remote work does not replace childcare, elder care, or other personal responsibilities during working hours.
Description: Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business. Coordinate day‑to‑day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues and ensuring no errors or omissions. Serve as a subject matter expert for the account management team.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
- Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
- Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
- Manage policy expirations and renewals.
- Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
- Monitor accounts receivable reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances.
- Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and any issues.
- Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests.
- Stay updated on company policies and procedures to ensure policy compliance.
- Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance.
- Demonstrate integrity and leadership by championing IOA values.
- 5+ years of account management experience, or 7+ years in the insurance industry.
- Active property & casualty license.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: CISR, CIC, CRIS, and/or CPCU designations.
- Preferred: 7–10+ years as a Commercial Lines Account Manager.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 to $ per year, depending on experience, relevant skills, and geographic location.
