Reporting to the Plant General Manager, you will supervise, and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. Oversee job performance and quality of work performed in a multi-craft environment involved in all facets of the technical field. Train employees regarding procedures and safety. Works daily to ensure his areas of responsibility are working at risk lowered to ALARA specifically in an effort to achieve ZERO HARM.

Manage the Maintenance Department by supervising daily work and schedules as well as projects.

• Lead team members engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery
• Manage the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of production machinery and support equipment
• Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment
• Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment; establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
• Remain pro-active related to diagnosing and preventative care of equipment
• Manage the MAXIMO CMMS and supervises CMMS point person
• Ensure that all department safety practices and processes are followed

• Analyze and resolve work problems or assists team members in solving work problems
• Work with direct reports to develop areas of weakness through coaching and teaching hands‑on during the accomplishment of assigned work as well as developing and conducting training to improve individual performance
• Promotes positive atmosphere in the maintenance departments and other departments
• Oversee job performance and quality of work performed in a multi‑craft environment involved in all facets of the technical field
• Ensure quality on all work being performed by department
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products
• Provide opportunities for subordinates to initiate continuous improvement ideas
• Manage a vendor base to ensure quality product availability while minimizing costs and maintaining the highest service levels to the plant. Includes repair and maintenance support and services
• Supervise storeroom and procure plant supplies (excluding rod)
• Research and execute capital appropriation expenditures
