Overview

Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Specialist, Vendor Project Manager. This role is part of the Otis Americas Key Accounts project management team, supporting our largest accounts and business segments. The successful candidate will work closely with vendors and general contractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule, while putting the customer first.

Travel: Some travel may be required.

Location: Flexible, this position can also be remote.

Typical Day
  • Resolve technical issues related to the interface of Otis products with building systems.
  • Provide guidance to other key accounts project management team members.
  • Ensure flawless execution of each project by completing on schedule, within budget, and meeting all technical and safety standards and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate all contract activities from the project award stage to completion of product installation and provide progress reviews to ensure contract documents are consistent with the required scope.
  • Proactively communicate with general contractors, owners, building managers, architects, and designers regarding project design, preparation, and scheduling for equipment installation.
  • Collaborate with the key account team, internal sales staff, construction superintendents, and senior leadership to ensure a successful project from the customer perspective.
  • Execute construction process duties including managing product suppliers, manufacturing and delivery schedules, and coordinating training with local Otis teams.
  • Interpret construction contractual documents and contract modifications to determine cost of changes.
  • Read and review architectural and structural drawings, interpret drawings conflicts, and develop creative solutions.
  • Analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates.
Qualifications
  • Successful track record with meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and exceeding expectations.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively with others and value diverse opinions and approaches.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; supplemented by 3+ years of experience.
  • 2+ years of similar project management experience is preferred.
