Tender Retail is looking for an energetic and passionate Software Development Project Manager (PM) to join our Professional Services team working on our product! Utilizing Software Development best practices, methodologies and process controls, the PM will be responsible for leading project teams, customers and third-parties to complete projects on time and within budget.
The Project Manager owns the successful delivery of our payment software solution implementation projects.

Preparing project plans, including schedule, budget and communications planningMonitor progress to ensure alignment with planMaintaining strict scope management and ensuring proper change control processes are followedManaging customer expectations and being accountable for the quality of the deliverables completed by the project teamProviding leadership and guidance to the project team members, consulting with other functional managers.Providing timely and accurate communications to all project stakeholdersFollowing up on any outstanding receivables from the project in a timely mannerManage change and risks to the project deliverables to reduce delays while limiting the impact on our customers and project timelinesProvide updates to management team and coworkers on customer/project status, proactively identifying issues and resolving or escalating as appropriateParticipate in discovery sessions with our external customers and internal technical team to determine the As-Is and To-Be states of their systemsConduct post implementation project reviews. Capture and apply lessons learned for continuous process improvementResponsible for preparing and reporting project forecast to management on an ongoing basis on all assigned projectsParticipate to ensure that milestones and work in progress are approved according to contract acceptance criteria, invoiced on time, and paid in a timely mannerPerform project administration such as approval or routing of expenses, project time entry review, project plan updates, and invoice processingWhat we are looking for
3+ years of Software Development Project management experienceExperience in managing projects involving multiple customers and vendorsExperience working in a PMO and with a formal delivery methodologyWhat would make you stand out
Experience in the payment industry in Canada, US and EuropeExperience implementing large retail / restaurant / or other chain retail payment or technology systemsPMP certification is an asset
Location/Travel
Tender Retail is based in Toronto, ON however this position has the opportunity to be remote based with the expectation of flexibility.
Travel could be required for some projects but no more than 10% of the time.
