has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a passionate and experienced Vice President, Learning & Development for our client, an industry-leading financial institution with a national membership base! As a key member of the leadership team, the Vice President, Learning & Development, will champion the design and evolution of programs that nurture employee growth and organizational excellence. This role oversees learning strategies and training initiatives that ensure every team member has the tools and confidence to thrive. The ideal candidate brings both vision and empathy, building learning systems that elevate people, enrich culture, and fuel the organization’s continued success.
- Develop and execute innovative learning and development programs that align with organizational goals and promote employee growth, engagement, and performance.
- Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of diverse learning initiatives, including leadership development, compliance, professional skills, and emerging technologies such as AI.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure smooth functionality, accurate tracking, and an intuitive user experience.
- Maintain compliance training programs that meet regulatory standards and reinforce the organization’s culture of accountability and excellence.
- Evaluate learning outcomes using data and feedback to continuously improve content, delivery, and overall effectiveness.
- Collaborate with department leaders to assess training needs, design customized solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Maintain an up-to-date library of training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led sessions, and digital tools.
- Coach and mentor team members through regular check-ins to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
- Provide staff with the tools, feedback, and resources they need to perform successfully while fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service, efficiency, and overall impact in support of the organization’s business plan.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) certification is highly desirable.
- At least three years of experience designing and managing learning or professional development programs.
- Skilled in delivering engaging training sessions, workshops, and team-building initiatives.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and evaluate employee development strategies that drive performance.
- Hands‑on experience administering and optimizing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong background in assessing organizational learning needs and measuring training effectiveness.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing staff.
- Prior experience within the financial services or credit union sector is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a bondable status as required by industry regulations.
- Ability to travel up to 20% to regional offices, meetings, conferences, and other business‑related events.
This outstanding opportunity offers a competitive annual salary range of $120,000 to $167,000 (DOE), along with a pay‑for‑performance bonus.
